Turning to fast food may sound like a quick fix for a bite to eat on a busy day, but the calories from these indulgent items are not worth it!

According to livehealthy.chron.com, in 30 minutes, a 130-pound person will burn 88 calories on a stationary bike without any resistance. One slice of cheese pizza(averaging 285 calories) would take a 130-pound person over an hour and a half to work off on a stationary bike without any resistance.

Instead of picking food that will hike up your calorie bill, choose healthy snacks for on-the-go. Here are my top 10 snacks for busy days:

  1. String cheese
  2. Celery and peanut butter
  3. Almonds
  4. Raspberries
  5. Cherry tomatoes
  6. Banana
  7. Baby carrots and hummus
  8. Smoothie
  9. Multi-grain crackers
  10. Cheerios

All of these snacks are easy to carry, easy to prepare and easy to clean up making them the perfect snacks for a busy day without racking up the calories.
